Don’t get usually impressed that much by the decor of Melbourne Cafe’s as much as it is about the taste of the coffee, and the time it takes to make it. But every once in a while you come across something a bit different, and a bit special.
Social Espresso Bar at the back of the exchange tower at the corner of 530 Little Collins Street and Church St in Melbourne’s CBD is different, and special. But before I explain why, I need to confirm that the coffee is everything you would expect from a Melbourne Cafe that is built to service CBD workers in the mornings and at lunch. It’s awesome. They have colorful takeaway cups.
But that’s just bare minimum in Melbourne. Competition is fierce. So how does Sociale Espresso Bar compete? What is their special secret you may ask?
They have a freeplay Marvel vs Capcom arcade machine. Pit ryu against War machine. Pit Ken against Wolverine. Quite simply one of the best arcade games of all time. And you can play it while you wait for your coffee.
This is a seriously unexpected find in Melbourne. Well worth it!
